Heavenly Creatures
"She was thoroughly shaken, wondering what was behind a greeting like that. But the angel assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.

Here, the Archangel Gabriel visits the Virgin Mary to tell her she will give birth to Jesus.
A familiar scene, Gabriel is frequently anthropomorphized to the point where he essentially resembles an attractive human with wings and a halo. My depiction attempts to example his magnitude and glory as the original scriptures may have intended it.
As for Mary, modern depictions tend to make her appear much older and more illustrious than she would have looked at the time of Christ's conception. I attempted to make her appear more like an average, Middle Eastern teenage girl, with an air of dignity and regality that makes Gabriel regard her as his peer.
