Another of the Bible's most iconic and identifiable images, few renditions of Jonah and the Whale capture the primordial terror the scene can truly provoke.

My attempt shows a comparatively minuscule Jonah, who looks ready to be consumed not just by the fearsome whale, but by the churning and abysmal waters around him.
